In Literacy P6 were asked to write their own instructions for making jelly as we’ve been learning all about the features of Procedural Writing. Of course, it was only right that we actually made the jelly too. Observing the jelly melting when added to hot water and then setting again when cooled, provoked lots of discussion about solids and liquids and bonds breaking and reforming. The best bit was getting to eat the jelly!
