As part of our European Day of Languages celebration, our class immersed ourselves in the rich culture of Portugal! We learned how to count to ten and practiced everyday Portuguese phrases like hello, thank you, you’re welcome and goodbye. We enjoyed listening to traditional Portuguese music and tasting Pastéis de Nata, made using a recipe that tied perfectly with our literacy topic Procedural Writing. Inspired by Portugals ceramic art, we also designed our own Azulejos tiles, bringing colour and creativity into the classroom.
