As part of our WAU topic, Build It, P3 had a fantastic visit from Tommy’s dad, Owen, and his mum, Carla from Close Contracts. Owen came in to talk to the class all about his job as a digger driver and the children were full of curiosity, asking lots of interesting and thoughtful questions.
The class especially enjoyed seeing the real tools Owen uses in his job, which really brought his work to life. A big thank you to Owen for also treating the children to key rings, sweets and kinetic sand – they were a huge hit!
Tommy was especially chuffed to have his daddy in school, and it was a wonderful experience for everyone. Thank you again to Owen and Carla for taking the time to visit and inspire our P3 learners.
