Primary 5 had a fantastic week celebrating World Book Day 2026!
We kicked off our celebrations on Tuesday with a special Teacher Swap Story Time. Mrs Carey visited our classroom and read us a wonderful story. Thank you, Mrs Carey — we loved having you with us!
On Wednesday, the class enjoyed designing their own creative bookmarks. Everyone worked so hard, and we were very impressed with the artistic ideas. Well done to Thea and Michael, who were our bookmark competition winners!
Thursday was all about sharing our love of reading. We took part in a class discussion about our favourite books and explained why we enjoy them so much. Afterwards, we recreated the book covers and wrote about what makes each book special to us.
We also had great fun taking part in a World Book Day Kahoot! quiz. Congratulations to Hannah and Anna, who came out on top as our quiz winners!
To finish off the celebration we attended a fun and lively assembly hosted by Mrs Fegan. We had the chance to parade around the hall and show off our fantastic costumes. Thank you, Mrs Fegan, for such an enjoyable celebration!
